A multiaxial constitutive model for fibre-reinforced sand

نویسندگان

چکیده

Fibre orientation in fibre-reinforced sand (FRS) is highly anisotropic due to compaction during sample preparation or field construction. This makes the mechanical behaviour of FRS, such as strength and dilatancy, dependent on strain increment direction. While constitutive models that are able capture FRS have been proposed for conventional triaxial compression extension conditions only, this paper proposes first time a full model formulated general multiaxial stress space. The new developed based assumption deformation skeleton. In turn, fibre presence affects void ratio effective soil skeleton, which governs elastic properties, dilatancy plastic hardening FRS. effect considered through an variable characterises relative between loading direction tensor tensor. does not require direct measurement stress–strain relationship individual fibres. Although under conditions, parameters associated with inclusion can be determined test results, provided fibres known. has used predict Hostun RF (S28) conditions. Satisfactory agreement experimental data predictions observed.

A fiber-reinforced Transversely Isotropic Constitutive Model for Liver Tissue

Biomechanical properties of soft tissue, such as liver, are important in modeling computer aided surgical procedures. Experimental evidences show that liver tissue is transversely isotropic. In this article, considering the liver tissue as an incompressible fiber-reinforced composite with one family of fibers, an exponential strain energy function (SEF) is proposed. The proposed SEF is based on...

a generalized plasticity constitutive model for sand-gravel mixtures

this paper presents a model for prediction of the mechanical behavior of sand-gravel mixtures using generalized plasticity and critical state concepts. proposed model is based on the difference between critical state lines of sand and sand-gravel mixture in e-lnp' plane. a generalized plasticity model is considered as the base model for sandy soil. its state parameter, dilation rate and ha...

A Constitutive Model for Sands

In this paper, an elastoplastic constitutive model is presented for predicting sandy soil behavior under monotonic and cyclic loadings. The model is based on the CJS3 model that takes into account deviatoric and isotropic mechanisms of plasticity. The flow rule in deviatoric mechanism is non-associated and a kinematic hardening law controls the evolution of the &#10yield surface. In the present...
